Mark Harlow is one of the premier photographers of wildlife and outdoor scenery. According to Mark, everything you will be viewing here and on his web sites and in his studio is true and wild. "Day in and out," says Mark, "I go through excruciating steps to capture the images that you are about to see on this site. Unlike others, 99% of these photographs are captured without a tripod or taken with filters. The photos are the true beauty of nature without artificial enhancements. All images are “imposition free”; meaning no part of one photo is placed into another or “stitched” together. Other photographers may use continuous or speed shooting to get the right shot. But with patience and precision, 100% of my work is taken is single mode (no speed shooting). I never use flash and none of my photos have ever been baited or staged. Others may use easier techniques and other conveniences (like using a spray bottles to create dew on a flower). I also do not have or do not use VR (vibration reduction) or IS (image stablization) lenses or camera bodies. My passion is not to “create beauty" but to capture it in its rawest, most natural form. So, if you see rain or dew in my photos, rest assured, it is real."
